our story

Hey, I'm Reid. I discovered how life changing movement in sand was for my body, and I created INSAND so you could feel it too. 

I played on Team USA for 16 years on a hard court, which was a lot of wear and tear on my body. My joints were killing me, and I was on 1800mg of Ibuprofen a day for the last few years of my indoor playing career.

I retired from indoor in 2016 and hit the beach volleyball tour. I couldn’t believe the difference the sand made. I got off ibuprofen completely, and I had no joint pain, just muscle burn. My time lifting in the gym decreased but I gained five pounds of lean muscle mass. Training on sand was magic! I knew this would be a better surface to workout on for everyone, so I got to work and created INSAND.

INSAND is a high intensity workout that incorporates dynamic sport-based movements along with functional strength training all in a fun team environment. It’s challenging, high calorie burning, and will keep you feeling young while moving in sand.
